You may have found, like me, that listening to old songs can take you back in time. The music can trigger memories and emotions. This happened to me recently as I was going through my father’s records collection. It was amazing how it affected my emotions. Spielberg’s West Side Story is his first musical in his long career. Musical-lovers all over the world are hopeful that he will do justice to this classic musical. I hope only that there is no scaffolding on 1950s Manhattan’s fire escapes!
